Well, I guess the title says it all!
Baby Girl Wheeler #2 is due to make her appearance on December 21st of this year. I am excited and nervous about caring for a toddler and a newborn, but mostly just grateful that I am FINALLY starting to feel better.
I knew I was pregnant when I took the pregnancy test.
I could already feel my stomach turning against me. And then it continued to turn, and turn, and turn and it was HORRIBLE!
Seriously though, I was really sick. Not quite take me to the hospital sick, but also not far from it.
You may [or may not] have noticed that I haven't been posting as often these past few months. Truthfully, I was just struggling to survive!
Every day I would wake at the latest possible time, shut down my senses as much as possible to feed Vivi breakfast, then hit the couch for a nap while she watched TV.
I'll be honest - she watched a lot of TV. And I spent most of my time on the couch dozing or racing to the bathroom to vomit.
Because I was so tired and sick and my hormones were going so crazy, I did have some bouts of depression. I was nervous that it would continue throughout the pregnancy, but that doesn't seem to be the case now.
Now I am 14 weeks in and beginning to feel more like myself again. The severe nausea and vomiting went away by about week 11 and the fatigue seems to be gone now as well.
I am even able to enjoy coffee again! It's a very sad morning when the smell of coffee makes you sick.
I am beginning to get back into Vivi's mess-of-a-future-big-girl-room because she is so ready to sleep in her big girl bed. Stay tuned for a post on its progress.
We've also started tallying up our baby goods to see what, if anything, we need to buy or replace. Hopefully not much!
As far as the blog, it is very important to me that I continue to post regularly. The writing, photography, and creativity that come from Everyday Enthusiastic are critical to my happiness.
I love this blog and I love writing to you, and I really don't want to lose that. Please forgive me for the irregular postings during my first trimester and I will be doing everything possible from now on to maintain a regular and fun content schedule!
Any advice for me? I'd love to hear your thoughts on pregnancy with #2, pregnant with a toddler, preparing a toddler to be a big sibling, working at home while pregnant/with a toddler, etc. Any and all advice would be so appreciated!
